''Grand Kingdom'' is a tactical role-playing game, tactical role-playing video game developed by Monochrome Corporation for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. It was published by Spike Chunsoft in Japan in 2015, and NIS America in the West in 2016. Following a mercenary group in the employ of different nations formed in the wake of a collapsed empire, the player engages in turn-based combat while navigating paths on maps similar to a board game. Spike Chunsoft
is a Japanese video game development and localization company specializing in role-playing video games, visual novels and adventure games. The company was founded in 1984 as Chunsoft Co., Ltd. and merged with Spike in 2012. It is owned by Dwango. They created games such as the first five '' Dragon Quest'' installments and the ''Mystery Dungeon'' franchise as Chunsoft, and the '' Conception'' series as Spike Chunsoft.
