GrailQuest
GrailQuest is a series of gamebooks by J. H. Brennan. The books are illustrated by John Higgins. The stories follow the adventures of a young hero named Pip, who is often called upon by Merlin to right wrongs and save the realm from evil. The series is light in tone and does not take itself seriously, often spoofing the fantasy genre and inserting slapstick humor or nonsensical elements. The series is mostly set in King Arthur's realm of Avalon, although the fourth volume, ''Voyage of Terror'', takes place almost entirely in ancient Greece, after Merlin's summoning spell goes wrong. Sagas Of The Demonspawn
''Sagas of the Demonspawn'' is a four issue gamebook series written by J. H. Brennan and illustrated by Geoff Taylor (first two books) and John Blanche (latter two). The books feature a protagonist named Fire*Wolf in a continuing storyline. Unusual for gamebooks, the series is written in third person past tense. The books have been translated into Danish, dropping the asterisk from the name of the protagonist. The Italian, French and Spanish versions version didn't drop it. John Higgins (comics)
John Higgins (born 1949) is an English comic book artist and writer. He did significant work for '' 2000 AD'', and he has frequently worked with writer Alan Moore, most notably as colourist for ''Watchmen''. Biography John Higgins was born in Walton, Liverpool. After leaving school when he was 15, he joined the army and, on leaving, spent some time in a commune in Wiltshire. He returned to Liverpool and, in 1971, resumed his studies at Wallasey College of Art. There, in 1974 he qualified in technical illustration, which allowed him to get a job as a medical illustrator at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. After getting his first comic book art published in ''Brainstorm'' in 1975, he drew the cover for '' 2000 AD'' No. 43 in 1977 and decided to go freelance in 1978, with an eye on becoming a comic artist. Android is a mobile operating system based on a modified version of the Linux kernel and other open-source software, designed primarily for touchscreen mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. Newsfield Publications Ltd (also known as Newsfield) was a British magazine publisher during the 1980s and early 1990s. Newsfield Publications Ltd was founded by Roger Kean, Franco Frey and Oliver Frey in 1983. Based in Ludlow, Shropshire, Newsfield published a number of popular computer game magazines from the mid-1980s to early 1990s. This line-up was later supplemented by a number of less successful magazines covering role-playing games, film, horror and youth culture. Faced with financial difficulties, the company went bankrupt towards the end of 1991. This didn't spell the immediate end for some of their magazines though.
