Graeme Hughes
Graeme Christopher Hughes (born 6 December 1955) is an Australian sportsman turned broadcaster. He is the last man to have played both rugby league and cricket for New South Wales. His father Noel Hughes played cricket for Worcestershire County Cricket Club, Worcestershire in the 1950s. Background Hughes was born in Stanmore, New South Wales, Australia. Rugby league career As a sportsman, Hughes found most success in rugby league, playing for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs as well as representing his state at the age of 19. Hughes was unlucky not to be selected for the Australia national rugby league team, Australian side to go on the 1978 Kangaroo tour. Stanmore, New South Wales
Stanmore is a suburb in the Inner West of Sydney, in New South Wales, Australia 6 kilometres south west of the Sydney central business district. It is part of the local government area of the Inner West Council. It is known for its long strip of shops running along Parramatta Road (Great Western Highway). Mark Hughes (rugby League, Born 1954)
Mark Stephen Hughes (born 6 August 1954) is an English-born Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played for Canterbury-Bankstown in the 1970s and 1980s. He mostly played , but he also spent time playing and . He is the brother of Garry Hughes and Graeme Hughes, and the uncle of Corey Hughes, Glen Hughes and Steven Hughes. Playing career The second eldest of the Hughes brothers to play with Sydney club Canterbury-Bankstown during the 1970s. 1990 Kangaroo Tour
The 1990 Kangaroo Tour was the seventeenth Kangaroo Tour, where the Australian national rugby league team (known as the XXXX Kangaroos due to sponsorship reasons) travelled to Europe and played eighteen matches against British and French club and representative rugby league teams, in addition to three Test matches against Great Britain and two Tests against the French. It followed the tour of 1986 and the next was staged in 1994. This series was the closest the British team came to reclaiming The Ashes since last winning in Australia in 1970. Victoria Cricket Team
The Victoria men’s cricket team is an Australian first-class men's cricket team based in Melbourne, Victoria. Steven Hughes (born 26 March 1974) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the National Rugby League. Background Hughes is the son of former Canterbury five-eighth Garry Hughes. Both his elder brother, Glen Hughes, and younger brother, Corey Hughes, also played for the club.
