Grabaciones Accidentales
Grabaciones Accidentales, SA ( en, Accidental Recordings; often abbreviated to GASA) is a Spanish independent record label founded in 1981 by Paco Trinidad with members of the bands Esclarecidos and Décima Víctima. In addition to publishing albums by the founding members, the label was responsible for releases by other Spanish artists and the distribution of releases by some foreign artists. Along with other labels founded around the same time, such as DRO Records, Grabaciones Accidentales is considered to be one of Spain's first independent record labels. History Grabaciones Accidentales was established in Madrid in late 1981 by members of the bands Esclarecidos and Décima Víctima. Decima Victima ( en, Tenth Victim) was a band formed by two Swedes and two Spaniards. During their short career between 1981 and 1984 they released two LPs, a maxisingle, two EPs and three singles. An independent record label (or indie label) is a record label that operates without the funding or distribution of major record labels; they are a type of small- to medium-sized enterprise, or SME. The labels and artists are often represented by trade associations in their country or region, which in turn are represented by the international trade body, the Worldwide Independent Network (WIN). Many of the labels started as producers and distributors of specific genres of music, such as jazz music, or represent something new and non-mainstream, such as Elvis Presley in the early days. DRO Records
DRO Records (often referred to simply as DRO) was a Spanish independent record label founded in 1982 by members of the band Aviador Dro. It is one of Spain's first independent record labels. During the 1980s DRO was an important label for independent artists in Spain, especially in Madrid. Name DRO is an acronym which stands for ''Discos Radioactivos Organizados'' ( en, Organized Radioactive Records). In the 1990s, the multinational label Eastwest Records acquired DRO. Aviador Dro, short for El Aviador Dro y sus Obreros Especializados (Aviator Dro and His Specialized Workers), is a synthpop and electronic music band from Spain, formed in Madrid in 1979. History The group was founded by schoolmates Arturo Lanz and Servando Carballar in 1979, when they published an ad in a magazine requesting musicians who liked Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire and The Residents to join them. ''Rockdelux'' is a Spanish music magazine. History and profile ''Rockdelux'' was first published in November 1984, and celebrated its 200th anniversary in October 2002, when it released a list of the 200 greatest international albums of all time, according to the magazine's staff. ''Rockdeluxs brief was to serve a specific section of the public who are passionate about music, and its focus was on new and more alternative artists from both Spain and the outside world (termed "international"). It had an extensive review section, covering mainly new musical releases and re-releases, but also covered other music-related subjects such as live concerts and videos and featured reviews of new books and graphic novels.
