Governor Pascual Avenue
Governor Wenceslao Pascual Avenue, commonly known as simply Governor Pascual Avenue, is the principal east–west artery in the city of Malabon in Metro Manila, the Philippines. It is an unsigned route in the Philippine highway network classified by the Department of Public Works and Highways as a national tertiary road. The two-lane avenue is the longest of the city's national roads. Portions of it are prone to flooding from the Tullahan River which flows just north of the avenue in east-central Malabon. History The avenue was named after Wenceslao Pascual, a Malabon native who served as the governor of Rizal from 1952 to 1955 when the then-municipality was still part of the province. The ancestral house in Hulong Duhat built in 1930 and designed by Juan Nakpil where the former governor was born is preserved by the government through a local ordinance. Pancit Malabon
''Pancit Malabon'' is a Filipino dish that is a type of pancit which originates from Malabon, Metro Manila, Philippines. It uses thick rice noodles. Its sauce has a yellow-orange hue, attributable to ''achuete'' (annatto seeds), shrimp broth, and flavor seasoned with patis (fish sauce for a complex umami flavor) and ''taba ng talangka'' (crab fat). Local fresh seafood toppings may include cooked shrimp, squid, smoked bangus (milkfish), mussels, and/or oysters. Other optional garnishes can include pork, hard-boiled duck/hen eggs, crushed ''chicharrón'' (pork rinds), chopped green onions, lightly browned sautéed minced garlic, and spritz of calamansi juice. Malabon People's Park
The Malabon People's Park, also known as Catmon People's Park, is an urban park situated in the densely populated village of Catmon, in the northern Metro Manila city of Malabon, the Philippines. The park occupies the central plaza of the Justice Compound, home of the Malabon Prosecutor's Office and formerly the Malabon-Navotas Regional Trial Court until 2010. It is located just off Sanciangco Street near its intersection with Governor Pascual Avenue in a flood-prone part of the city close to the south bank of the Tullahan River. The plan for the Catmon park was announced in 2011 when the Malabon city government allotted for the installation of playground equipment at the Justice Compound as part of its 2012 budget. E5 Expressway (Philippines)
Expressway 5 (E5) forms part of the Philippine expressway network. Collectively known as the North Luzon Expressway Harbor Link Project (NLEX Harbor Link Project), it runs from Congressional Avenue and Luzon Avenue, both components of Circumferential Road 5, in Quezon City to Radial Road 10 in Navotas, linking the North Luzon Expressway to the Port of Manila.
