Gotthold Gloger
Gotthold Gloger (17 June 1924 – 16 October 2001) was a German writer and painter. Life Gotthold Gloger was born in Königsberg, East Prussia. He received painting and drawing lessons as a child. He attended the Kunstgewerbeakademie in Königsberg from 1941, simultaneously arose his first literary attempt. From 1942, Gloger participated in World War II as a soldier of the Wehrmacht and later belonging to the 999th Light Afrika Division. After the war, he graduated art studies in Frankfurt am Main and visited as a guest listener of romance studies and philosophy lectures. In 1947 and 1948, he remained for a long time in Italy and Southern France. Strasbourg
Strasbourg (, , ; german: Straßburg ; gsw, label=Bas Rhin Alsatian, Strossburi , gsw, label=Haut Rhin Alsatian, Strossburig ) is the prefecture and largest city of the Grand Est region of eastern France and the official seat of the European Parliament. The German National Library (DNB; german: Deutsche Nationalbibliothek) is the central archival library and national bibliographic centre for the Federal Republic of Germany. PEN International (known as International PEN until 2010) is a worldwide association of writers, founded in London in 1921 to promote friendship and intellectual co-operation among writers everywhere. The association has autonomous International PEN centers in over 100 countries.
