Charlotte "Sárika" Góth (1900-1992) was a Hungarian-Dutch painter. Biography Góth was born on 29 March 1900 in Vienna, Austria to Hungarian parents. Over the course of her lifetime she lived in various parts of Europe including Paris, Budapest, Amsterdam, the Carpathian Mountains region, and Veere. Her teachers included her father, , Jo Koster, André Lhote, and Jan Toorop. From 1918 through 1920 she studied at the ''Akademie van beeldende kunsten'' (Royal Academy of Art, The Hague). Góth was a member of the '' Arti et Amicitiae'', and ''Zeeuwse Kunstkring''. Góth's work was included in the 1939 exhibition and sale ''Onze Kunst van Heden'' (Our Art of Today) at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. ''Inheritance'' is a 2006 American documentary film about , also known as Monika Christiane Knauss, the daughter of and Amon Göth, commandant of the Płaszów concentration camp. Monika Hertwig was 10 months old when her father was hanged in 1946 for war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide. She discovered the truth about him only as a young adult, because her own mother told her in childhood that he was a good man and a war hero. The film centers around her meeting a Holocaust survivor, Helen Jonas-Rosenzweig, who was interned at Płaszów and personally knew Göth. Her 2015 book '' My Grandfather Would Have Shot Me: A Black Woman Discovers Her Family's Nazi Past'' was a ''New York Times'' bestseller. Life Teege, who was born Jennifer Göth to a Nigerian father and an Austrian-German mother, grew up in foster care. She was adopted at the age of seven. Amon Göth
Amon Leopold Göth (; alternative spelling ''Goeth''; 11 December 1908 – 13 September 1946) was an Austrian SS functionary and war criminal. He served as the commandant of the Kraków-Płaszów concentration camp in Płaszów in German-occupied Poland for most of the camp's existence during World War II. Göth was tried after the war by the Supreme National Tribunal of Poland at Kraków and was found guilty of personally ordering the imprisonment, torture, and extermination of individuals and groups of people. He was also convicted of homicide, the first such conviction at a war crimes trial, for "personally killing, maiming and torturing a substantial, albeit unidentified number of people." Göth was executed by hanging not far from the former site of the Płaszów camp. Jessie Marie Goth (August 15, 1887, Indianapolis - January 9, 1975) was an American painter from Indianapolis, Indiana. Best known for her portraiture, Goth was the first woman to paint an official portrait of an Indiana governor ( Henry F. Schricker) that was installed in the Indiana Statehouse. Goth became a full-time resident of Nashville, Indiana, in the 1920s and was active in its Brown County Art Colony. She became a charter member and former president of the Brown County Art Gallery Association in 1926 and a cofounder of the Brown County Art Guild in 1954. Goth died from injuries sustained in a fall at her home in 1975. Goth's portraits have featured several Hoosier notables, including James Whitcomb Riley, John T. McCutcheon, Paul V.
