Gortletteragh are a Gaelic Athletic Association club from County Leitrim, Ireland. The club was founded in 1889 They have won Leitrim Senior Football Championship titles five times in 1905, 1970, 1981, 1985 and 1987, and Leitrim Senior Hurling Championship titles eleven times in 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1996, 1998 and 2011. Former All Star Full Back Seamus Quinn is the club's best known player. The club's Hurling team lost the senior final narrowly in 2010, while its U14 team recently won the Leitrim Féile for the first time. County Leitrim ( ; gle, Contae Liatroma) is a county in Ireland. It is in the province of Connacht and is part of the Northern and Western Region. It is named after the village of Leitrim. The Leitrim Senior Football Championship is an annual football competition contested by top-tier Leitrim GAA clubs. The Leitrim County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association has organised it since 1890. St Mary's, Kiltoghert are the title holders (2022) defeating Mohill in the Final. Leitrim Senior Hurling Championship
The Leitrim Senior Hurling Club Championship is an annual hurling competition contested by top-tier Leitrim GAA clubs. The winners of the championship qualify to the Connacht Junior Club Hurling Championship. Carrick Hurling are the title holders, defeating Cluainín Iomáint by 1-12 to 1-11 in the 2022 final. Seamus Quinn
Seamus Quinn is a former Gaelic footballer from Gortletteragh, County Leitrim. Along with Mickey Quinn he is Leitrim's only All Star winner. Quinn won an All Star at full-back in 1994. This was in Leitrim's Connacht Senior Football Championship winning season; Quinn would go on to become the last remaining member of that team following the departure of Fergal Reynolds. In 2000, Brian McEniff selected him to represent Ireland against Australia, becoming the first Leitrim player to receive international recognition. After retirement from playing he managed the county's junior team to a Connacht Junior Football Championship title in 2017.
