Samolaco is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Sondrio in the Italian region Lombardy, located about north of the regional capital Milan and about northwest of Sondrio. The territory of the comune, mostly mountainous, includes of a number of small centres of population, notably Casenda, Era, Giumello, San Pietro and Somaggia. Cama is a municipality in the Moesa Region in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. History Cama is first mentioned in 1219 as ''Camma''. Between 1907 and 1978, Mesocco was linked to Bellinzona and the Gotthard railway to the south, and Mesocco to the north, by the Bellinzona–Mesocco railway. The Province of Sondrio ( it, provincia di Sondrio) is in the Lombardy region of northern Italy. Its provincial capital is the city of Sondrio. As of 2017, it has a population of 181,403. History The Province was established in 1815, within the Kingdom of Lombardy–Venetia, combining the valleys of Valtellina, Valchiavenna and Bormio.
