Gordon Brown (sculptor)
Gordon Brown (7 April 1958 – 24 October 2020) was a German sculptor. Biography Born to a Canadian father and German mother, Brown spent his childhood in British Columbia and West Germany. He learned carpentry and woodcarving and was a self-taught artist from 1985 to 1992. He studied design and sculpture at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts. He then taught at the school from 1997 to 1999. He opened his own workshop in Hamm Hamm (, Latin: ''Hammona'') is a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Iserlohn (; Westphalian: ''Iserlaun'') is a city in the Märkischer Kreis district, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is the largest city by population and area within the district and the Sauerland region. Geography Iserlohn is located at the north end of the Sauerland near the Ruhr river, in West-Central Germany. History The Pancratius church (also called Bauernkirche) is believed to have been founded in around 985, but the first written document mentioning ''lon'' dates only from 1150. In 1237 the Count of the Mark gave Iserlohn municipal rights.
