''Googly'' is a 2013 Indian Kannada language romantic comedy film directed by Pavan Wadeyar and produced by Jayanna Combines, starring Yash and Kriti Kharbanda in the lead roles, while Ananth Nag and Sadhu Kokila play the primary supporting roles. The film released on 19 July 2013. The film was a box office success by receiving highly positive reviews. The film won multiple nominations at the 3rd South Indian International Movie Awards. Having been nominated in 11 categories, the film won SIIMA awards for Best Director (Pavan Wadeyar), Best Cinematographer (Vaidi S.), Best Lyricist (Pavan Wadeyar) and Best Fight Choreographer (Ravi Varma). Pavan Wadeyar
Pavan Wadeyar (born 10 December 1987) is an Indian film director, screenwriter, lyricist, actor and producer best known for his work in Kannada cinema. He is known for writing and directing ''Govindaya Namaha'' (2012), for which he won the SIIMA award for the Best Debut Director. Career Wadeyar began his career by working as an assistant director to Yogaraj Bhat in ''Pancharangi'' (2010). He made his directional debut with ''Govindaya Namaha'' (2012) that went to become a successful film. He won the SIIMA award for the Best Debut Director.
