Adam Roy Goodes (born 8 January 1980) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL). Goodes holds an elite place in VFL/AFL history as a dual Brownlow Medallist, dual premiership player, four-time All-Australian, member of the Indigenous Team of the Century and representative of Australia in the International Rules Series. In addition, he has held the record for the most VFL/AFL games played by an Indigenous player, surpassing Andrew McLeod's record of 340 during the 2014 AFL season before having his own record surpassed by Shaun Burgoyne during the 2019 AFL season. Known for his community work and anti-racism advocacy, Goodes was named the Australian of the Year in 2014. Brett Goodes
Brett Goodes (born 17 February 1984) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the in the Australian Football League (AFL). He is the younger brother of Sydney Swans dual Brownlow Medalist Adam Goodes. He played for North Ballarat in the Victorian Football League (VFL) and NT Thunder in the Queensland Australian Football League (QAFL) before accepting a job with the Western Bulldogs as a player development manager. Whilst at the club, he played in the Bulldogs VFL reserves squad, Williamstown. Goodes played 40 games and kicked 27 goals for the VFL Seagulls in 2011 & 2012, including the 2011 VFL grand final loss to Port Melbourne. Guy Goodes ( he, גיא גודס; born 13 March 1971) is an Israeli professional basketball coach and former player. He is currently the head coach of Hapoel Holon of the Israeli Premier League and the Israel national team. Professional career Goodes played as a point guard from 1994 to 2004, primarily with Maccabi Tel Aviv (1990–97 and 1998–99). He was on the Israel basketball national team from 1995 to 1999. Melvin "Mel" Goodes is a Canadian businessman. He is a graduate of Queen's University at Kingston, receiving his Bachelor of Commerce in 1957. Mike Goodes (born December 3, 1956) is an American professional golfer. Goodes was born in Reidsville, North Carolina. He won several amateur tournaments in the Carolinas, and attended the University of North Carolina, but did not play on the golf team. Goodes turned professional in 2007 and started playing on the Champions Tour via open qualifying.
