Gonzalo Anes
Gonzalo Anes Álvarez de Castrillón (10 December 1931 – 31 March 2014) was a Spanish economist, professor and historian. He was director of the Royal Academy of History. He was born in Trelles, Coaña, Asturias, and died on 31 March 2014 in Madrid. Honours He was a winner of the King Juan Carlos Prize in Economics. In recognition of his work, he was made Marquis of Castrillón Castrillón is a municipality in Asturias, located on the central coast. Castrillón is a municipality in Asturias, located on the central coast. It has an area of 56.70 km² and a population of 22,361 inhabitants (in 2005). Coaña
Coaña (Galician-Asturian: ''Cuaña'') is a municipality in the Autonomous Community of the Principality of Asturias, Spain. It lies along the Cantabrian Sea to the north, and is bordered on the south by Boal, on the east by Navia and Villayón across the Navia River, and on the west by El Franco. History As the municipality of Obispalía, it formed part of the extensive territory of Navia – Eo, which was given to the Bishop of Oviedo by Alfonso VII in 1154 under the name Castropol. In 1581, Coaña became an independent municipality, when the inhabitants purchased it from Philip II, the owner of Castropol by papal bull.
