Golam Maula Rony
Golam Maula Rony (born ) is a Bangladeshi politician and businessman. He is a former Jatiya Sangsad member from Patuakhali-3 constituency representing Bangladesh Awami League. He joined Bangladesh Nationalist Party in November 2018. Childhood Rony was born to Monowara Begum and Samsuddin Munshi (d. 2010) at Shampur village near Sadarpur bazar in Sadarpur Upazila in Faridpur. In 1974, the family moved to Patuakhali. Education Rony had his primary education in Faridpur. He completed his SSC (secondary School Certificate) in Patuakhali. After completing HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) from Dhaka College Rony took admission in University of Dhaka and completed graduation at LLB. He completed his further education in the same field in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Career Rony started his career with journalism. Later he started his own shipping and textile business. AKM Jahangir Hossain
AKM Jahangir Hossain (1954 – 24 December 2020) was a Bangladesh Awami League politician and a 4-term Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Patuakhali-3 constituency. Career Hossain was elected to the parliament from Patuakhali-3 in 1991, 1996, 2001 and 2014 as a Bangladesh Awami League candidate. He was made the State Minister of Textiles in 1998 in the First Sheikh Hasina Cabinet. He did not receive the nomination for 2008 general election from Bangladesh Awami League for his support of reforms in the league during the 2006–08 Bangladeshi political crisis. The nomination went to Golam Maula Rony. In 2013, he was removed from all committees of Bangladesh Awami League. Jatiya Sangsad
The Jatiya Sangsad ( bn, জাতীয় সংসদ, lit=National Parliament, translit=Jatiyô Sôngsôd), often referred to simply as the ''Sangsad'' or JS and also known as the House of the Nation, is the supreme legislative body of Bangladesh. The current parliament of Bangladesh contains 350 seats, including 50 seats reserved exclusively for women. Elected occupants are called Member of Parliament, or MP. Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) is one of the two municipal corporations in Dhaka created when the former Dhaka City Corporation (first declared in 1864) was divided into two by the Local Government (City Corporation) Amendment Bill 2011 on 29 November 2011, passed in the Parliament of Bangladesh, following the President's approval. Dhaka South has a long history, including that of European arrival and colonization.
