Gogo (Canadian Musician)
Paul Roland Gogo (born April 24, 1965), known as Gogo, is a Canadian rock-and-roll keyboard player, and multi-instrumentalist, best known for being the keyboardist of the Canadian rock band Trooper. His career has also included stints with rock vocalist Paul Laine. He is also the author of ''Frank Ney: A Canadian Legend','' a biography about British Columbia legislator, and longtime Nanaimo mayor Frank Ney. In 2004, Gogo played a major role in the creation of ''Joyride!'', the debut album of his psychedelic rock group, The Super Groovy Band. The album has received positive acclaim from reviewers around the world. He was featured in the 2008 documentary film, ''Mellodrama: The Mellotron Movie.'' Nanaimo
Nanaimo ( ) is a city on the east coast of Vancouver Island, in British Columbia, Canada. As of the Canada 2021 Census, 2021 census, it had a population of 99,863, and it is known as "The Harbour City." Scott Brown (bassist)
Scott George Brown is a Canadian bassist best known for being a member of the Canadian rock band Trooper. He has also done work with vocalist Paul Laine, both as a solo artist and with Danger Danger. Brown joined Trooper in 1996 and has toured with the band ever since, making him one of the longest-running members in the band's history. Brown was featured when Trooper performed in the 2010 Olympics Victory Ceremonies in Vancouver, British Columbia on 21 February 2010. Nanaimo Clippers
The Nanaimo Clippers are a Junior "A" ice hockey team based in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada. They are members of the Island Division of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL). They play their home games at Frank Crane Arena. Franchise history The original owner, Cliff McNabb, drew inspiration for the Clippers name from the local teams of the Nanaimo Minor Hockey Association prior to 1972 which carried the clippers name. The Nanaimo Clippers won the league championship in the 1976 playoffs but lost by default for the Mowat Cup (Provincial Championship). The Clippers were once again league champions in 1978 when the Penticton Vees refused to play the balance of the series (citing rough play – the series stood at 2 games to 1).
