Godtfred Hegelund Olsen (22 July 1883 – 21 June 1954) was a Danish road racing cyclist who competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics. Roholte
Roholte is a village and parish in Faxe Municipality, Region Zealand, Denmark. By road it is located south of Faxe, and southwest of Copenhagen. Of note is Roholte Church, the parish church, which was built in 1441, and the Morten Roholte sports club. History The area around Roholte has been inhabited since the Stone Age. There is also evidence of a Viking community there. The origin of the village can be ascribed to the establishment of a large trading post just south of Roholte's present location. Faxe
Faxe or Fakse is a town on the island of Zealand in eastern Denmark. It is located in Faxe Municipality in Region Zealand. The town is most known for the Faxe Brewery, Royal Unibrew, a relatively large brewery producing a range of beer and soft drinks, soda, energy drinks, Faxe Kondi and many more and so on. Frederiksberg () is a part of the Capital Region of Denmark. It is formally an independent municipality, Frederiksberg Municipality, separate from Copenhagen Municipality, but both are a part of the City of Copenhagen. It occupies an area of less than 9 km2 and had a population of 103,192 in 2015. Frederiksberg is an enclave surrounded by Copenhagen Municipality. Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held primarily on Road surface, paved roads. The 1912 Summer Olympics ( sv, Olympiska sommarspelen 1912), officially known as the Games of the V Olympiad ( sv, Den V olympiadens spel) and commonly known as Stockholm 1912, were an international multi-sport event held in Stockholm, Sweden, between 5 May and 22 July 1912. Twenty-eight nations and 2,408 competitors, including 48 women, competed in 102 events in 14 sports. With the exception of tennis (starting on 5 May) and football and shooting (both starting on 29 June), the games were held within a month with an official opening on 6 July. It was the last Olympics to issue solid gold medals and, with Japan's debut, the first time an Asian nation participated. Stockholm was the only bid for the games, and was selected in 1909. Cycling At The 1912 Summer Olympics – Men's Team Time Trial
The men's team time trial was a road bicycle racing event held as part of the cycling at the 1912 Summer Olympics programme. It was the first appearance of the event. The competition was held on Sunday July 7, 1912. Each nation that sent at least four cyclists to the Cycling at the 1912 Summer Olympics – Men's individual time trial, individual time trial was also considered to have competed as a team. The times of the top four cyclists for each nation were summed to give a total team time, with the best total times winning. Great Britain at the 1912 Summer Olympics, Great Britain had three teams, as the English, Irish, and Scottish cyclists were considered separate. Belgium, Canada, and South Africa did not send enough cyclists to make a team. Three teams did not have enough cyclists finish to earn a valid team score. The men's individual time trial was a road bicycle racing event held as part of the cycling at the 1912 Summer Olympics programme. It was the first appearance of the event. The competition was held on Sunday July 7, 1912. The course was 320 kilometers (198.8 miles) long and the cyclists started at two minute interval. 123 cyclists from 16 nations competed.
