Larry Glick
Larry Glick (May 16, 1922 – March 26, 2009) was an American talk radio host, based in Boston, Boston, Massachusetts, who presented a long-running show on WBZ (AM), WBZ and later WEEI (AM)#WHDH at 850 kHz, WHDH through the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. His broadcast at WBZ covered 38 states, Larry was well known wherever he went and was liked by all. A memorable part of his broadcasts were the countless people who would call in to talk about anything and everything, from personal problems to worldly problems. In his heyday many would say he ran the nighttime airways. Larry was known for his easy going manner and great sense of humor. In Boston, Glick's all-night show went out first over WMEX (AM), WMEX in 1965. In 1967, he was hired by WBZ (AM), WBZ, where he worked for the next 20 years. Glik's is an American retail clothing chain based in Granite City, Illinois. It was founded in 1897 by Joseph Glik. The chain operates more than 65 locations in 11 states across the Midwestern United States, primarily in Illinois, Michigan, Nebraska, Kansas and Minnesota. History Joseph Glik began the Glik's chain in 1897 in St. Louis, Missouri, where he sold dry goods. Five years later, he opened a second store in Madison, Illinois. The Granite City store was sold to his son, Morris; originally called Good Luck, and later, Boston Store, it took the name Glik's in 1925. Morris's son, Joe Glik, later took control of the store and began expanding it as a chain throughout Illinois. The majority of its locations are in smaller towns with populations as small as 7,000. Kamil Jacek Glik (Polish pronunciation: ; born 3 February 1988) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Serie B club Benevento and the Poland national team. The previous clubs Glik played for include Piast Gliwice from 2008 to 2010, Palermo from 2010 to 2011, Torino from 2011 to 2016 and Monaco from 2017 to 2020, the latter two of which he was appointed captain of the team. Yehudah Joshua Glick (; born 20 November 1965), alternatively spelled "Yehuda Glick", is an American-born Israeli Orthodox rabbi, activist, and politician. As the President of Shalom Jerusalem Foundation, he campaigns for expanding Jewish access to the Temple Mount. He was a member of the Knesset for Likud, having taken the place of former Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon in May 2016 until April 2019. Glick is the leader of HaLiba, a coalition of groups dedicated to "reaching complete and comprehensive freedom and civil rights for Jews on the Temple Mount". Glick was awarded the 2015 Moskowitz Prize for Zionism for being "Active for human rights and religious freedom on Jerusalem's Temple Mount". Srul Irving Glick (September 8, 1934 – April 17, 2002) was a Canadian composer, radio producer, conductor, and teacher. Born in Toronto, Ontario, he received a Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto 1955, and a Masters of Music (Toronto), honorary FRCCO (1993). He continued his studies in Paris, France, with such masters as Darius Milhaud, Louis Saguer and Max Deutsch. Roman Glick (born 1970) is an American bassist. He is known for playing with Brother Cane, Slave to the System, Jesse James Dupree, and Jackyl. Brother Cane Brother Cane formed in Birmingham, Alabama in the early 1990s with singer/guitarist Damon Johnson and bassist Glenn Maxey. Johnson and Maxey were later joined by drummer Scott Collier and Glick. Shortly after the band released their self-titled debut album in 1990, Maxey left the band. Glick then switched back to bass guitar (his original instrument) and the band added another guitarist, David Anderson. The band then released two more albums: '' Seeds'' (1995) and '' Wishpool'' (1998). Brother Cane was dropped from their label (Virgin) during the ''Wishpool'' tour.
