Glas (album)
Glas (, Glass) is the debut studio album by German singer Nina Chuba. It was released on 24 February by Sony Music Entertainment Germany. Background The first single from ''Glas'', ''Neben mir'', was Chuba's first German-language release, following a series of English-language songs released from 2019 to 2021, and the first to be released under Jive Records. The fifth single from the album, Wildberry Lillet, was released in August 2022, and brought Chuba to mainstream success, being certified 3x Gold, 2x Platinum and Platinum in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, respectively. Eight of the eighteen tracks on ''Glas'' were pre-released, although "Molly Moon" and "Nicht allein", two singles released before the album, were not featured on it. The release of ''Glas'' was announced in November 2022. Nina Chuba
Nina Katrin Kaiser (born 14 October 1998), known professionally as Nina Chuba, is a German singer. She was born in Wedel, Schleswig-Holstein Schleswig-Holstein (; da, Slesvig-Holsten; nds, Sleswig-Holsteen; frr, Slaswik-Holstiinj) is the northernmost of the 16 states of Germany, comprising most of the historical duchy of Holstein and the southern part of the former Duchy of Sch ... and rose to prominence in 2022 with her single "Wildberry Lillet", reaching #1 in both the Austrian and German charts. German Hip Hop
German hip hop (locally known as ''Deutschrap'', ''Deutsch'' meaning German) refers to hip hop music produced in Germany. Elements of American hip hop culture, such as graffiti art and breakdancing, diffused into Western Europe in the early 1980s. Dancehall is a genre of Jamaican popular music that originated in the late 1970s. Jive Records was an American independent record label founded by Clive Calder in 1981 as a subsidiary to the Zomba Group. In the US, the label had offices in New York City and Chicago. Ö3 Austria Top 40 is the official Austrian singles chart, as well as the radio show which presents it, aired Tuesdays on Hitradio Ö3.
