Glanerbrug £laËnÉ™r'brÊxis a town in the east of the city of Enschede, Netherlands. It is close to the border, formed by the stream Glanerbeek, with Germany and the city of Gronau, North Rhine-Westphalia. The name of Glanerbrug is derived from the bridge over the Glanerbeek (''brug'' in Dutch is ''bridge'' in English). On 7 April 1990 the fell through the roof of a house there. Glanerbrug Railway Station
Glanerbrug is a railway station close to the border of Germany in Glanerbrug, Netherlands. The station opened on 18 November 2001 and is on the Zutphen–Glanerbeek railway. Between the 1972 and 2001, the passenger service to Germany stopped as the line was closed. The line to Gronau was reopened in 2001. Enschede
Enschede (; known as in the local Twents dialect) is a municipality and city in the eastern Netherlands in the province of Overijssel and in the Twente region. The eastern parts of the urban area reaches the border of the German city of Gronau. The municipality of Enschede consisted of the city of Enschede until 1935, when the rural municipality of Lonneker, which surrounded the city, was annexed after the rapid industrial expansion of Enschede which began in the 1860s and involved the building of railways and the digging of the Twentekanaal. Nick Hengelman (born 15 November 1989) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. Career Hengelman was born in Glanerbrug. He is a youth product from the FC Twente/Heracles Almelo football academy. He formerly played for AGOVV Apeldoorn. When the club was declared bankrupt in January 2013, he joined Vitesse to maintain his fitness. When the club did not offer him a new contract in the summer of 2013, Hengelman found a new club in Achilles '29. He made his début for the team in the first match in professional football for Achilles on 3 August 2013. The game in Emmen ended in 2–2. On 5 August 2014, Hengelman signed with FC Oss. On 2 August 2019, Hengelman signed with South African club Ajax Cape Town. Twente ( nl, Twente , Tweants dialect: ''Tweante'') is a region in the eastern Netherlands. It encompasses the most urbanised and easternmost part of the province of Overijssel. Bert Schierbeek
Lambertus Roelof (Bert) Schierbeek (18 June 1918, Glanerbrug, Overijssel – 9 June 1996, Amsterdam) was a Dutch writer. He won numerous awards throughout his career, amongst them the 1991 Constantijn Huygens Prize. During the German occupation, Schierbeek was part of the resistance movement; directly after the war (in 1945), he published his first, still conventional novel that dealt with exactly these experiences (translated, this novel reads as ''Terror against terror''). Then, he wrote the first experimental novel in the Dutch language, which was published in 1951. Its title is ''Het boek Ik'' (The Book I) and apparently does not have any narrative structure; it seems to consist of poetic associations of 'loose' words and thoughts. It is the first in a trilogy. Rob Groener (born 19 December 1945) is a former Dutch football manager and player who is currently a players' agent. As a player, he played for SC Heracles competing in the Dutch Eredivisie from 1962 to 1966. As a manager, he headed FC Twente, Suriname national team, the Netherlands Antilles national team, Quick '20, and VfL Herzlake in Germany. Career Groener grew up in Denekamp, where he joined the local amateur club DOS '19. He was selected to play for the Netherlands amateur national football team, and was ultimately signed to nearby SC Heracles from Almelo with whom he played in the Eredivisie from 1962 to 1966. On 7 February 1971 his playing career was brought to a halt in a match against SC Heerenveen, where Groener suffered a double leg break, ending his career as a player.
