Girik Khosla
Girik Khosla (born 4 January 1995) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for I-League club Delhi. Career Born in Mumbai, Girik Khosla started his footballing journey with the youth setup of Mumbai FC where he captained the U14 and U17 teams before moving to the state team of Chandigarh. He caught the eyes of Minerva Punjab after guiding his state team Chandigarh to qualify for the final stages of the Santosh Trophy. He made his senior debut for Minerva Punjab in the 2016-17 I-League season against DSK Shivajians as he came on as a substitute. He was part of the 2017-18 I-League winning team where he made 12 appearances and scored one goal. His performance caught the eyes of Indian Super League side NorthEast United FC and he joined them for the 2018–19 Indian Super League season, however he made just one appearance for the Highlanders and failed to get any gametime. Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar (GTB Nagar), formerly known as ''Koliwada'', is a neighbourhood in Sion, Mumbai, named after Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Guru of Sikhism. Indian Super League
The Indian Super League (ISL) is an Indian professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Indian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Organised by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), and their commercial partners Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), it is officially known as Hero Indian Super League for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp. The league currently comprises 11 clubs. Each season of the tournament generally runs from October to March. The 2020–21 Indian Super League season was the seventh season of the Indian Super League (ISL) since its formation and the 25th season of the top division of the Indian football league system. A total of 11 teams competed in the league. Chennai City were the defending champions, having won the previous season. TRAU F.C. joined as a promoted club from the I-League 2nd Division. Shillong Lajong F.C. were relegated from the I-League last season and will play in the second division in the 2019–20 season. 2017-18 champion ''Minerva Punjab'' played as Punjab F.C. from this season as the club was renamed on 30 October 2019. The 2017–18 I-League was the 11th season of the I-League. Aizawl were the defending champions. NEROCA entered as the promoted team from the 2016–17 I-League 2nd Division. The season began on 25 November 2017. Teams All India Football Federation invited bids for new teams on 21 July 2017 from Bengaluru, Mumbai, New Delhi, Ranchi, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bhopal, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Malappuram and Trivandrum, among others.
