Girija Vyas
Girija Vyas (born 8 July 1946) is an Indian politician, poet and author. She was a Member of the 15th Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Parliament of India, from the Chittorgarh constituency and former president of National Commission for Women of India. Personal life Girija Vyas was born on 8 July 1946 to Krishna Sharma and Jamuna Devi Vyas. After obtaining a Doctorate in Philosophy, she taught at Mohanlal Sukhadia University of Udaipur and the University of Delaware. She has written eight books, three of which contain her poetry. Girija Kumar Mathur
Girija Kumar Mathur (Hindi: गिरिजाकुमार माथुर) (22 August 1919 – 10 January 1994) was a notable Indian writer of the Hindi language. He is noted for his translation of the popular English song "We Shall Overcome" into Hindi (हम होगें कामयाब). His father, Devicharan Mathur, was a teacher in a local school and greatly admired music as well as literature. His mother's name was Laxmidevi. Girija Shettar (born 20 July 1969) is a British actress, known for her works in South Indian films. In 1989, Shettar starred in Maniratnam's Telugu film '' Geethanjali'' and Malayalam film ''Vandanam'', directed by Priyadarshan, in which she starred alongside Mohanlal. In 1992, she signed for the lead female role in ''Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar'', which she left mid-way to complete a prior commitment. Ayesha Julka replaced her after the first schedule. Nepal Ratna Girija Prasad Koirala ( ne, गिरिजाप्रसाद कोइराला ; 4 July 1924 – 20 March 2010), affectionately known as Girija Babu, was a Nepalese politician. Girija Devi (8 May 1929 – 24 October 2017) was an Indian classical singer of the Seniya and Banaras gharanas. She performed classical and light classical music and helped elevate the profile of thumri. She was dubbed as the 'Queen of Thumri' for her contribution in the genre. She died on 24 October 2017.
