Giridha
''Giridha'' is Maldivian comedy drama web series written and directed by Yoosuf Shafeeu. It stars Ibrahim Jihad, Ali Azim and Ali Usam in main roles. The film follows three friends who move to Male' in hopes of finding work and struggle to pay their rent. They befriend their leaser and plan on following their lifelong dream of working in the film industry. The pilot episode of the series was released on 7 September 2021. Mohamed Afrah (actor)
Mohamed Afrah (born 15 November 1971) is a Maldivian film actor and journalist. Career In 2019, he made his film career debut in Maldivian first sitcom ''Karu Hakuru'' developed by Mohamed Munthasir. His performance as the nosy neighbor and the series received positive reviews from critics. He next appeared in Ilyas Waheed's psychological thriller film '' Bavathi'' (2019), where he played the role of Zahir, a middle aged man who performs ruqyah on a disturbed couple. The film narrates the story of a woman who relocates to Male' after marriage and the strange incidents that follow afterwards. Ali Usam
Ali Usam, commonly known as Dhona, is a Maldivian film actor, model and TV presenter. Career Usam began his professional career as a model in 2009 before starting to work as a host in several television shows. He made his career debut in Ravee Farooq-directed web series ''Ehenas'' which follows the experiences of a long-term domestic and sexually abused male victim and how he faces the societal obstacles of marriage. Aishath Maahaa reviewing from ''Dho?'' was generally impressed with the acting performance of the newcomers including Usam, though he had a very brief role. He then played the role of a politician who is competing for a seat in People's Majlis, in Yoosuf Shafeeu's comedy drama series '' Huvaa Kohfa Bunan''. Ahmed Easa
Ahmed Easa (born 7 October 1985) is a Maldivian film actor. Career In his childhood, Ahmed Easa watched Bollywood films and imitated the acting of Sunil Shetty in stage performances. While watching his movies, Easa grew a fondness towards cinema and decided to pursue a career in acting "if granted with a chance worth holding for". He was first offered a role in Amjad Ibrahim's romantic horror film ''Udhabaani'' (2009) but he rejected it since he was "too shy to be in front of the camera with his current physique". However, he made his film debut two years later with Hamid Ali's ''Laelaa'' (2011) co-starring Yoosuf Shafeeu, Amira Ismail and Ali. The film revolves around two daughters who are forced into an arranged marriages by their parents. Yoosuf Shafeeu also known as Eupe (20 October 1975) is a Maldivian film actor, editor, writer, and director. One of the most successful filmmakers and actors in Maldivian Cinema, Shafeeu is the recipient of a number of awards, including eight Gaumee Film Awards, and a Maldives Film Award; ; holding the record of collecting maximum Gaumee Film Award for Best Actor. In 2003, the Government of Maldives honoured him with the National Award of Recognition. Ibrahim Jihad
Ibrahim Jihaad Shavee commonly known as Ibrahim Jihad (born 30 November 1980) is a Maldivian actor. Career Abdul Faththaah's horror film '' Eynaa'' was released in 2004, which appears Sheela Najeeb, Mohamed Manik, Ahmed Shah, Khadheeja Ibrahim Didi, Jihad and Nashidha Mohamed as six colleagues who go on a picnic to a haunted uninhabited island and their battle for survival. The film garnered critical appreciation specially for its technical department and was a commercial success. Ali Azim
Ali Azim is a Maldivian film actor. Career 2010–2016: Early releases Azim expressed his interest in acting at a very young age. Before he pursued a career in acting Azim worked as a dancer and stage performer. He was first recognized by the audience for his facial expressions while dancing. While working in the Animation Dance Group, the team made a short children's film ''Lollypop'' with "no serious intention but for entertainment". Aminath Noora (born 11 February 1986) is a Maldivian actress. Career In 2004, Noora made her screen debut with a video single directed by Mohamed Niyaz and rendered by Fazeela Amir. Titled "Jaadhooga Jeheyney", the song topped several charts and was a hit, resulting in another video collaboration with Niyaz. Titled "Visnaa Visnaa", the song marks the first Maldivian single aired through MTV (India). Ahmed Ziya (born 4 February 1981) is a Maldivian film actor, editor and director. Career In 2002, Ziya played the love interest of an ill-treated outsider in Abdul Faththaah's '' Fahu Fiyavalhu''. Mohamed Faisal is a Maldivian film actor, editor and director. Career Faisal made his film debut with the romantic film ''Loaiybahtakaa'' (2009), written and directed by Yoosuf Shafeeu in which he stars as businessman from a wealthy family struggling to express his feelings.
