Giovanni Nesi ( Florence, 20 December 1986) is an Italian pianist and professor of academic music. Biography Pupil of Maria Tipo and Andrea Lucchesini, winner of the "Clef du Mois" Prize by ResMusica in France, also awarded with the prestigious William Walton Award from the William Walton Foundation in Ischia, and the Rudolf Serkin Prize Award annually given by the Fiesole School of Music. Since 2014 he has recorded for the label Tactus. He recorded for Heritage Records label the complete Suites and Partitas by Domenico Zipoli for the first time on modern piano and a CD with works for piano left hand by Bach. He recorded a DVD for Mozarteum Universitat Salzburg. He gave concerts in Italy, France, England, Spain, Holland, Greece, Turkey, Austria, Mexico, Uruguay and Argentina. Johann Sebastian Bach (28 July 1750) was a German composer and musician of the late Baroque period. Mario Pilati
Mario Pilati (2 June 1903 – 10 December 1938) was an Italian composer. Pilati was born in Naples, and his natural musical talent showed itself when he was very young. He entered the Conservatorio di Musica San Pietro a Majella at the age of fifteen, studying under Antonio Savasta. In 1925, on the advice of Ildebrando Pizzetti, he went to Milan, where he worked as a teacher, music critic and an arranger of vocal scores for Casa Ricordi until 1930, when he moved back to Naples to take up a professorship at the conservatory where he had been a student. In 1933 he accepted a post at the conservatory in Palermo, returning to Naples in 1938, where he became ill and died just before the outbreak of World War II. Domenico Zipoli
Domenico Zipoli (1688-1726) was a composer from the Baroque period. He worked and died in Córdoba, Argentina, Córdoba, in the Viceroyalty of Peru, Spanish Empire, (presently in Argentina). He became a Jesuit in order to work in the Reductions of Paraguay where he taught music among the Guaraní people. He is remembered as the most accomplished musician among Jesuit missionaries. Early training and career Zipoli was born in Prato, Italy, where he received elementary musical training. However, there are no records of him having entered the cathedral choir. In 1707, and with the patronage of Cosimo III, Grand Duke of Tuscany, he was a pupil of the organist Giovani Maria Casini in Florence. In 1708 he briefly studied under Alessandro Scarlatti in Naples, then Bologna and finally in Rome under Bernardo Pasquini.
