Giorgos Kalaitzis
Georgios Kalaitzis (also spelled Giorgos; el, Γιώργος Καλαϊτζής; born August 29, 1976) is a Greek basketball coach and former player, who is currently the Team Manager of Panathinaikos. During his playing career, at a height of 1.96 m (6'5") tall, Kalaitzis played at the point guard, shooting guard, and small forward positions. Professional career In his pro club career, Kalaitzis played with: the Greek Basket League club Panionios, the Italian LBA club Olimpia Milano, and the Greek Basket League clubs Panathinaikos, Aris, Panellinios, and Kolossos. He ended his playing career with Doukas, of the Greek 3rd Division. National team career With Greece's under-19 national team, Kalaitzis won the gold medal at the 1995 FIBA Under-19 World Cup. Greek Basket League
The Greek Basket League (GBL), often also referred to as the Greek A1 Basketball League, or Greek Basketball Championship (originally called Panhellenic Basketball Championship), and also known as the Stoiximan Basket League for sponsorship reasons, is the first tier level professional basketball league in Greece. It is run by HEBA ( el, ΕΣΑΚΕ, link=no), under the legal authority of the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E.O.K.). It is the highest-tier level of the Greek league system. The GBL plays under FIBA rules and currently consists of 13 teams, with the lowest-placed team relegated to the A2 Basket League and replaced by the winner of the play-offs of that tier. The Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) is a professional men's club basketball league that has been organised in Italy since 1920. Panathinaikos Football Club B, known as Panathinaikos B, (Greek: ΠΑΕ Παναθηναϊκός B) is a Greek football club based in Athens, Greece. Founded in 2021, they play as the reserve team of Panathinaikos in the Super League Greece 2. Panathinaikos B is one of four reserve teams givens approval from the EPO ( Hellenic Football Association) to play in the second division.
