Gilvydas Biruta (born 10 October 1991) is a professional Lithuanian basketball player for CEP Lorient of the Nationale Masculine 1. He plays at the power forward position. Professional career After graduating University of Rhode Island, Biruta was a part of Denver Nuggets during the 2015 NBA Summer League. On 5 August 2015, Biruta signed with Neptūnas Klaipėda. On 24 February 2016, Biruta signed with Lavrio of the Greek Basket League. In five games Biruta averaged 3.4 points and 2.2 rebounds. On August 30, 2016, he signed with Aries Trikala. In March 2017, he moved to Assigeco Piacenza of the Serie A2. On 4 July 2017, Biruta signed with JL Bourg-en-Bresse of the Pro A. Jeunesse Laïque de Bourg-en-Bresse, commonly known as JL Bourg or simply Bourg, is a basketball club based in Bourg-en-Bresse, France that plays in the Pro A. Their home arena is Ekinox, which has a capacity of 3,548 people. History In 2014, JL Bourg adopted its new home arena Ekinox which replaced the Salle des Sports. Serie A2, known for sponsorship reasons as Serie A2 Old Wild West, is a men's basketball league in Italy. It constitutes the second-tier of the Italian league pyramid, below the first division LBA and above the third division Serie B, with promotion/relegation occurring between these leagues. It is run by the Lega Nazionale Pallacanestro (LNP), itself regulated by the FIP, the Italian federation. 2015 NBA Summer League
The 2015 NBA Summer League consisted of three pro basketball leagues organized by the NBA: the Orlando Pro Summer League, Utah Jazz Summer League, and Las Vegas Summer League. Ten teams participated in the week-long Orlando Pro Summer League at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, from July 4 to 10, 2015. The 2007 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship was the 21st edition of the FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship. The cities of Ierapetra, Rethymno and Heraklion, in Greece, hosted the tournament. Serbia won the trophy for the first time since the dissolution of Serbia and Montenegro. Slovenia and Portugal were relegated to Division B. The FIBA U16 European Championship, previously known as the FIBA Europe Championship for Cadets, is a youth basketball competition that was inaugurated with the 1971 edition.
