Giennadij Jerszow
Giennadij Jerszow ( uk, Геннадій Олексійович Єршов, translit=Hennadiy Yershov) is a Polish–Ukrainian sculptor, jewelry designer and art teacher. He is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, and the National Association of Polish Artists and Designers. He is known for the production of monumental works, easel compositions and portraits, represented in different countries. Biography Jerszow was born on 12 July 1967 in Chernihiv, in Northern Ukraine in a mixed Polish–Ukrainian family. As a repatriate he acquired Polish citizenship and his family moved in 2001 to Poland, where he currently resides in the city of Gdańsk. Being brought up in a multinational family, he is fluent in Russian, Ukrainian and Polish, and gained a love for the history and culture of different nationalities. Chernihiv ( uk, Черні́гів, , russian: Черни́гов, ; pl, Czernihów, ; la, Czernihovia), is a city and municipality in northern Ukraine, which serves as the administrative center of Chernihiv Oblast and Chernihiv Raion within the oblast. Stanis%C5%82aw Moniuszko
Stanisław Moniuszko (; May 5, 1819 – June 4, 1872) was a Polish composer, conductor and teacher. He wrote many popular art songs and operas, and his music is filled with patriotic folk themes of the peoples of the former Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth (mainly Poles, Lithuanians and Belarusians). He is generally referred to as "the father of Polish national opera". Since the 1990s Stanisław Moniuszko is being recognized in Belarus as an important figure of Belarusian culture. Life Moniuszko was born into a noble landowning family in Ubiel, Minsk Governorate (now Belarus). He initially took piano lessons with his mother and then continued his musical education in Warsaw, Minsk, and in Berlin under Carl Friedrich Rungenhagen. In 1858 he was appointed conductor at the Warsaw Opera and later became professor at the Warsaw Conservatory. He died in Warsaw, Congress Poland and was buried at Powązki Cemetery. Association Of Polish Artists And Designers
The Association of Polish Artists and Designers (, ZPAP) is an official association of professional artists in Poland, representing more than 8,500 learned artists working in the field of visual arts, including: painting, sculpture, graphic design, interior and set design, ceramics, fabric arts, as well as new media, and art restoration. The Association was founded in 1911 in Kraków during the Partitions of Poland. In the interwar period until 1939 it served as a trade union and in 1945, following World War II, it was formally re-established as an association. In 1980, ZPAP supported the Solidarity movement and opposed the imposition of martial law in 1981.
