Giant Rooks
Giant Rooks is a German indie band from Hamm, which was founded in 2014. In 2019 they won the 1Live Krone Award and the Preis für Popkultur. Their debut album ''Rookery'' was released on 28 August 2020. In 2015 they released their first self-produced EP 'The Times Are Bursting The Lines'. This first release was followed by another EP ''New Estate'' in 2017 which gained them first critical success. Hamm (, Latin: ''Hammona'') is a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located in the northeastern part of the Ruhr area. As of 2016 its population was 179,397. The city is situated between the A1 motorway and A2 motorway. Hamm railway station is an important hub for rail transport and renowned for its distinctive station building. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s.
