Gianluca Faliva
Gianluca Faliva (born 26 December 1973) is a retired Italian rugby union player. He played as a loosehead prop forward. Early career Gianluca Faliva was born in Camposampiero, Padua, Italy, and did not start playing rugby until he was 20, when he joined CUS Padova Rugby under pressure from some of his colleagues in the Italian Police who also played for the club. Until then, he played football as a centre-back in a low-level local amateur side. Coached by former international Marzio Innocenti, he soon developed into a physical but very dynamic prop, becoming one of the linchpins of the side. In 1996, still working as a policeman, Faliva made his Serie A1 (now Top12) debut with the still amateur CUS Padova. Carlos Nieto (born 25 June 1976) is an Italian Argentine international rugby union player. Nieto made his Italy debut against England in the 2002 Six Nations but did not manage to establish himself as an automatic choice in the front row. He was recalled by Berbizier to the national set-up for the 2005 Summer tour of Argentina and Australia. Andrea Lo Cicero Vaina (; born Catania, 7 May 1976) is an Italian rugby union footballer, who retired from playing in 2013. Born in Catania, Sicily, Lo Cicero began his professional career in the town of his birth with Amatori Catania. Later he moved to Bologna and then to Rugby Rovigo, winning his first Italian Championship in 2000 with Rugby Roma. Subsequently, he played for a season in the French team Stade Toulousain. He then played for L'Aquila and he completed his career playing for Racing Métro 92 in France's Top 14. Carlo Checchinato (born 30 August 1970 in Adria, Province of Rovigo) is an Italian rugby union former player and is the current team manager for the Italy national team. John Kirwan (rugby)
Sir John James Patrick Kirwan (born 16 December 1964) is a New Zealand mental health advocate, former rugby union and rugby league player, and former rugby union coach. A wing, he played for Auckland in the 1980s and 1990s, when they dominated New Zealand rugby. He played in 63 tests for New Zealand, and scored 35 tries, making him one of the highest try scorers in international rugby union history. He was part of the New Zealand team that won the first Rugby World Cup in 1987. He also played rugby league for the Auckland Warriors in their first two seasons in 1995 and 1996. After retiring, he moved into coaching, and was the head coach of Japanese club NEC, the Italy and Japan national teams, and the Blues in Super Rugby, until he stepped down in 2015.
