Ghofrane Belkhir
Ghofrane Belkhir (born 11 August 2001) is a Tunisian Olympic weightlifting, weightlifter. She won the gold medal in the 2021 World Weightlifting Championships – Women's 55 kg, women's 55kg event at the 2021 World Weightlifting Championships held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. She also won the gold medal in the Weightlifting at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics – Girls' 58 kg, 58kg event at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Belkhir broke the world record for the snatch, clean and jerk, and total in the women's 59-kilogram class weightlifting event at the 5th International Solidarity Weightlifting Championship in Cairo, Egypt in December 2018. Olympic Weightlifting
Olympic weightlifting, or Olympic-style weightlifting (officially named Weightlifting), is a sport in which athletes compete in lifting a barbell loaded with weight plates from the ground to overhead, with each athlete trying to successfully lift the heaviest weights. Athletes compete in two specific ways of lifting the barbell overhead: these are the snatch and the clean and jerk. The ''snatch'' is a wide-grip lift, in which the weighted barbell is lifted overhead in one motion. The ''clean and jerk'' is a combination lift, in which the weight is first taken from the ground to the front of the shoulders (the clean), and then from the shoulders to overhead (the jerk). 2018 Summer Youth Olympics
The 2018 Summer Youth Olympics ( es, Juegos Olímpicos de la Juventud de 2018), officially known as the III Summer Youth Olympic Games, and commonly known as Buenos Aires 2018, were an international sports, cultural, and educational event held from 6 to 18 October 2018 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Oran ( ar, وَهران, Wahrān) is a major coastal city located in the north-west of Algeria.
