Ghar (1978 Film)
''Ghar'' () is an Indian Hindi-language film directed by Manik Chatterjee, released in 1978. It stars Vinod Mehra, Rekha (in her career defining role) in lead roles. The music was composed by R. D. Burman. The film was remade in Tamil as ''Kaadhal Kiligal'' and in Malayalam as ''Aa Raathri''. Plot Vikas Chandra (Vinod Mehra) and Aarti (Rekha) have recently married and they move into their new apartment. One day they go out to watch a late night Hindi movie at a local cinema theatre. The movie gets over well after midnight and as no cab is found at that hour, they decide to walk home on foot. On the way, they are suddenly waylaid by four men, who assault Vikas, leaving him unconscious and forcibly take Aarti with them. When Vikas regains consciousness he finds himself in hospital with a head wound. He is informed that Aarti is in the same hospital, after being gang-raped and assaulted. Ghar is a village in Dhar Kalan tehsil in Pathankot district of Indian state of Punjab. It is located from Pathankot City, district headquarters and from state capital Chandigarh. Għar Dalam ("Cave of Dalam" (a fifteenth century family name), ) is a 144 metre long phreatic tube and cave, or cul-de-sac, located in the outskirts of Birżebbuġa, Malta. The cave contains the bone remains of animals that were stranded and subsequently became extinct in Malta at the end of the Last Glacial Maximum. It has lent its name to the Għar Dalam phase in Maltese prehistory, and is viewed as one of Malta's most important national monuments. Pottery similar to that found in Stentinello was found at Għar Dalam, but lacking details such as stamp decorations.
