Ghanta Chakrapani
Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani (born 1965) is a distinguished Academician and the first (founder) Chairman(2014-2020) of Telangana State Public Service Commission. At Present he is working as a professor of Sociology and Dean of Social Sciences at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad. Associated with peoples movements, democratic and rights movements he became a public intellectual in the region. Since 1997, Bhuvanagiri meeting he was directly associated with the Telangana separate statehood movement, and emerged as one of the protagonists of the Telangana agitation, as a writer, public speaker, columnist, and Television analyst he played multiple roles in the spread of Telangana ideology. Karimnagar District
Karimnagar district is one of the 33 districts of the Indian state of Telangana. Karimnagar city is its administrative headquarters. The district shares boundaries with Peddapalli, Jagityal, Sircilla, Siddipet, Jangaon, Hanamkonda district and Jayashankar Bhupalapally districts. Etymology Karimnagar was originally called ''Elagandala''. Later Kannada kingdoms such as Western Chalukyas ruled it. It was part of the great Satavahana Empire. Later, the ruling Nizams of Hyderabad changed the name to ''Karimnagar'', derived from the name of ''Shahenshah E Karimnagar Syed Kareemullah Shah Quadrii nithinvasi''. Telangana State Public Service Commission
The Telangana State Public Service Commission, chiefly, TSPSC is a body created by the Constitution of India to select applicants for civil service jobs in the Indian state of Telangana according to the merits of the applicants and the rules of reservation. It is a Constitutional Body established Under Article 315 of Constitution of India which provides a smooth and efficient functioning of the Government of Telangana by providing suitable candidates for various Government posts and advise them on various service matters like formulation of Recruitment Rules, advise on promotions, transfers and disciplinary actions etc. It was formed on 2 June 2014 as per Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission bifurcated into APPSC and TSPSC. ''Andhra Jyothi'' () is the third largest circulated Telugu language daily newspaper of India sold mostly in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It was founded by K. L. N. Telangana Movement
The Telangana movement refers to a movement for the creation of a separate state, Telangana, from the pre-existing state of Andhra Pradesh in India. The new state corresponds to the Telugu-speaking portions of the erstwhile princely state of Hyderabad, which were merged with Andhra Pradesh in 1956, leading to the Mulki Agitations. After decades of protests and agitations, the central government, under the United Progressive Alliance, decided to bifurcate the existing Andhra Pradesh state and on 2 June 2014, the Union Cabinet unilaterally cleared the bill for the creation of Telangana. Lasting for almost 5 decades, it was one of the most long lasting movements in South India. On 18 February 2014, the Lok Sabha passed the bill with a voice vote.
