Ghana Greentech Academy is a secondary educational institution in Ghana and operates as a co-educational, non-denominational, Day School. It's a technical & Vocational school which started in 2014 as Mim Technical Academy and later in 2016, rebranded itself as Ghana Greentech Academy. With donor support, the school provides tuition free education to young boys and girls in the Agriculture and Technical fields. This school is located about 5 km away from the famous Mim Bour tourist site at Mim Ahafo, in the Asunafo North Municipal District of Ghana. In order to guarantee the thorough development of all students, the school only accepts a maximum of 25 new students per year. Mim (Ghana)
Mim is a city in the Asunafo North Municipal District in the Ahafo Region of Ghana. It is a nodal town between Sunyani and Goaso via the N12 road (Ghana), N12 Highway. The distance from Mim to Sunyani is 64 km whilst that of Mim to Goaso is 14 km. Mim also has direct routes to: Kumasi; Accra; Kenyasi;Dormaa Ahenkro; Nkrankwanta and Sefwi Debiso. Asunafo North Municipal District
Asunafo North Municipal District is one of the six districts in Ahafo Region, Ghana. It was formerly part of the then-larger Asunafo District from 1988 until the southern part of the district was split off by a decree of president John Agyekum Kufuor on 12 November 2003 (effectively 17 February 2004) to become Asunafo South District. The remaining norther part was renamed as Asunafo North District which was later elevated to municipal status on 29 February 2008 to become Asunafo North Municipal District. Before the arrival of European settlers, who introduced a formal education system addressed to the elites, education in Ghana was mainly informal and based on apprenticeship. Economic activities in pre-colonial Ghana were based on farm produce shared within households and members of each household specialized in providing necessities such as cooking utilities, shelter, clothing, and furniture, and trade with other households was therefore practiced on a very small scale.
