Gevorg Karapetyan
Gevorg Gagik Karapetyan ( hy, Գևորգ Գագիկի Կարապետյան; born 10 June 1990) is an Armenian former footballer who played as a forward. Club career Youth From 2007 to 2008, Karapetyan competed in the Armenian First League as part of the reserve squad of FC Ararat. He scored 10 league goals in 37 matches and appeared in three additional Armenian Independence Cup over that time. Senior For the 2009 season, Karapetyan was promoted to the first team squad at FC Ararat and stayed with the club until 2011. In total, he scored 22 goals in 22 matches as Ararat split time between the Armenian First League and Armenian Premier League. In 2012, he moved to FC Banants, also of the Premier League. He stayed with the club until 2015, scoring 28 goals in 70 league matches. He also appeared in several matches for the club in 2014–15 UEFA Champions League qualification. Football Club Urartu ( hy, Ուրարտու Ֆուտբոլային Ակումբ, translated ''Futbolayin Akumb Urartu''), commonly known as Urartu, is an Armenian professional football team based in the capital Yerevan that currently plays in the Armenian Premier League. 2016 USL Season
The 2016 USL season was the sixth season of the United Soccer League and the twenty-second season of USSF sanctioned Division III play organized by the United Soccer Leagues. On August 6, 2015, the league announced that the season would consist of 30 games rather than 28 games played from 2013–2015. This was the first increase in the number of games since the league went from 24 games per season in 2012 to 28 games in 2013. The league expanded from 24 to 29 teams in 2016. Six franchises were officially announced by the league: Swope Park Rangers, Orlando City B, Rio Grande Valley FC, FC Cincinnati, Bethlehem Steel FC, and San Antonio FC. The Austin Aztex were on hiatus for the 2016 season, due to stadium availability issues, but planned to return in 2017 pending construction of a new, soccer-specific stadium.
