Gerda Palm
Gerda Palm (14 October 1871 – 25 January 1949) was a Swedish painter who studied in Stochholm. She exhibited from before the first war until the 1940s. She has painting in Swedish collections. Life Palm was born in 1871 in Ånimskogs parish. Her parents were Major Henrik Salomon Ferdinand Palm and Amalia Fröding. left, Nude She studied art in Stockholm at the Academy of Fine Arts from 1895 to 1901 before travelling to Munich, Paris and Rome afterwards She painted portraits and landscapes. She studied at Axel Tallberg's school in 1912. Separately, she exhibited at the Lilla ateljén in Stockholm in 1941 and at Good Art in Gothenburg in 1945. Axel Tallberg
Axel Tallberg (23 September 1860 – 8 January 1928) was a Swedish visual artist and engraver. He is remembered for his etching course at the Royal Swedish Academy of Art and for his portraits, including those of King Oscar II, Leo Tolstoy and Theodore Roosevelt. Biography Born in Gävle, Tallberg was the son of Carl Erik Tallberg, a metalworker, and his wife Kristina Johansson. After graduating from the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts, where he studied from 1878 to 1882, he spent a year in Düsseldorf, perfecting his landscape painting technique, especially the use of watercolours. Soon afterwards he turned to etching, spending some time studying abroad. After visiting Italy, France, Spain, North Africa and Germany, he went to England where from 1889 to 1895 he resided in Burnham to the west of London where he became associated with Swedish etchers. Gothenburg Museum of Art ( sv, Göteborgs konstmuseum) is located at Götaplatsen in Gothenburg, Sweden. It claims to be the third largest art museum in Sweden by size of its collection. Alingsås () is a locality and the seat of Alingsås Municipality in Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 24,482 inhabitants in 2010. Geography Geographically the city is situated by the outlet of the small rivulet Säveån into lake Mjörn. Transportation links are provided by the western main line railway (''Västra stambanan'') between Stockholm and Gothenburg, and by motorway through the European route E20.
