Gerard Scheurleer
Gerard Scheurleer (29 May 1886 – 11 October 1948), was a Dutch field hockey and tennis player who represented the Netherlands at the Intercalated Games. At the 1906 Intercalated Games he won his first three rounds of the singles event against Greek players to reach the semifinal which he lost to eventual gold medal winner Max Decugis. With compatriot Karel Beukema he also competed in the doubles event where they lost their first match, in the quarterfinal, against the French team and eventual gold medal winners Max Decugis and Maurice Germot. Scheurleer competed in three Wimbledon Championships between 1919 and 1926. After wins against A. Wallis Myers and Nicolae Mișu he reached the third round of the singles event at the 1920 Wimbledon Championships which he lost to Frank Jarvis in straight sets. Christiaan Van Lennep
Christiaan van Lennep (; 3 January 1887 – 5 December 1955) was a Dutch tennis player and multiple Dutch champion. He won the singles title at the Dutch National Tennis Championships in 1905, 1907, 1919, 1921, 1925 and 1926. He was also a seven times doubles champion. Van Lennep participated in the singles and doubles events at the 1908 and 1924 Olympics. His best result was reaching the third round in the singles event at the 1924 Olympics in Paris. In the third round he lost to American Watson Washburn by three sets to one. He reached the final of the singles event at the inaugural British Hard Court Championships, played in Torquay in April 1924, in which he was defeated by Randolph Lycett in four sets. Kea Bouman
Cornelia "Kea" Tiedemann-Bouman (23 November 1903 – 17 November 1998) was a female tennis player from the Netherlands. She won the singles title at the 1927 French Championships, beating Irene Bowder Peacock of South Africa in the final. Bouman was the first and, to this date, the only Dutch woman who has won a Grand Slam singles title. Bouman additionally won the 1923, 1924, 1925 and 1926 Dutch national tennis championship (singles). Born in Almelo, Bouman is also the first female Dutch athlete to win an Olympic medal in any sport, when she teamed with Hendrik Timmer to win bronze in mixed doubles at the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris. In October 1927 Bouman won the singles title of the inaugural edition of the Pacific Southwest Tennis Championship, defeating Molla Mallory in the final in three sets. Hendrik Timmer (tennis)
Hendrik ("Henk") Timmer (; 8 February 1904 – 13 November 1998) was a Dutch sportsman, who primarily played tennis. Born in Utrecht, Timmer also won golf tournaments, became Dutch squash champion, played badminton and hockey. He died aged 94 in Bilthoven, four days before his former doubles partner Kea Bouman. Apart from being a Dutch tennis champion, he was Swiss, Welsh and Scottish indoors champion as well. Tennis career He began his tennis career at the age of 19 when he won his first Dutch national championships. He scored his first international victory over Donald Greig in a mixed international team match between the Netherlands and Great Britain in 1923. Madzy Rollin Couquerque
Madzy Rollin Couquerque (14 April 1903 – 16 July 1994) was a Dutch female hockey- and tennis player who was active from the 1920s until the late 1950s. She won 40 national tennis titles and made 37 appearances in the Dutch national hockey team. Early life and sports career Madzy Rollin Couquerque was born on 14 April 1903 in The Hague, Netherlands. Her father Louis Marie Rollin Couquerque was a jurist. Her mother died in 1918. After she returned from a boarding school in Bloemendaal in 1921 she started a bookkeeping job at an insurance company which provided her with the income that allowed her to pursue her sports career. Arthur Diemer Kool
Arthur Diemer Kool (30 January 1896 – 3 October 1959) was a Dutch tennis player. He won the singles title at the Dutch Tennis Championships in 1912 aged 16 and won the title again in 1915, 1916 and 1917. With Gerard Scheurleer he became doubles champion in 1914, 1915 and with Christiaan van Lennep in 1916 and 1923. Diemer Kool won the national mixed doubles title in 1914, 1916 and 1917. He played in 15 ties for the Dutch Davis Cup team between 1920 and 1933 and compiled a 25–13 win-loss record.
