Gerald Toto

	Gerald Toto Gerald Toto (born 1967) is a French lyricist, composer, performer, multi-instrumentalist and artistic director. Music career Toto was born, Saint-Cloud, France. Part of the underground scene in the middle of the 1990s, he chose a new direction by becoming the artistic director and composer of the first album of the well known Faudel (writing songs such as "Tellement je t'aime") On the heels of the commercial success Gerald Toto released his first album, ''Les Premiers Jours'' (Warner, 1998), a mix between cashew music and the music of Daniel Lanois. Then came Middle Eastern electro with the band Smadj and the vocal improvisations of "Toto Bona Lokua" with Richard Bona and Lokua Kanza (No Format!, 2004). In 2006 Toto came back with a new album, ''Kitchenette'' (V2music). picture info	Nouvelle Vague (band) Nouvelle Vague is a French cover band led by musicians Olivier Libaux and Marc Collin. Their name means "new wave" in French, and refers simultaneously to the French New Wave cinema movement of the 1960s, to the new wave music movement of the 1970s and 1980s, which provides many of the songs that the band covers, and to bossa nova (Portuguese for "new wave"), a musical style that the band frequently uses in its arrangements. 	Bande à Part (album) ''Bande à Part'' is the second studio album by the French band Nouvelle Vague. It was released on 14 June 2006 in Europe on Peacefrog Records. Like the band's eponymous first album, ''Bande à Part'' is a collection of bossa nova cover versions of 1980s new wave tracks. The European edition has 14 standard tracks, with an 18-track limited edition. The slightly different United States edition, on the Luaka Bop label, has 14 standard tracks, with a 17-track limited edition. Release ''Bande à Part'' was a commercial success, charting in several European countries. The album peaked at number 23 on the French album charts, number 15 on the German charts, and number 8 on the Portuguese charts. It also reached number 79 in the UK Albums Chart.
