Ger Browne
Ger Browne (born 10 May 1998) is an Irish hurler who played for Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship with Cashel King Cormacs and at inter-county level with the Tipperary senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a midfielder. Playing career Knockavilla-Donaskeigh Kickhams Browne joined the Knockavilla–Donaskeigh Kickhams club at a young age and played in all grades at juvenile and underage levels before eventually joining the club's top adult team. Tipperary Minor and under-21 Browne made his first appearance for the Tipperary minor team on 23 April 2016 when he scored two points from right wing-forward in a 1–20 to 1–17 defeat by Waterford in the Munster Championship. On 10 July 2016, he was switched to midfield and scored two points from play when Tipperary defeated Limerick by 1–24 to 0–10 to win the Munster final. The GAA Hurling Under-20 All-Ireland Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Bord Gáis Energy GAA Hurling Under-20 All-Ireland Championship) is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in Ireland. The championship was contested as the All-Ireland Under-21 Championship between 1964 and 2018 before changing to an under-20 age category from 2019. The 2019 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 132nd staging of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county hurling tournament, since its establishment in 1887. The draw for the 2019 fixtures took place on 11 October 2018. The championship began on 11 May 2019 and concluded on 18 August 2019. Limerick were the defending champions. Carlow returned to the Leinster Championship for the first time since 2016, replacing Offaly who were relegated in 2018. National Hurling League
The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system. The league has 35 teams divided into six divisions, with either five or six teams in each division. Promotion and relegation between these divisions is a central feature of the league. Although primarily a competition for Irish teams, teams from England – currently Lancashire GAA, Lancashire, London GAA, London and Warwickshire GAA, Warwickshire – also take part, while in the past New York GAA, New York also fielded a team for the latter stages of the league. Billy McCarthy is an Irish hurler who plays as a forward for the Tipperary senior team. He plays his club hurling with Thurles Sarsfields. Career McCarthy made his senior debut for the Tipperary hurling team on 17 February 2018 in the third round of the 2018 National Hurling League against Wexford when he came on as a substitute in the second half and scored a point. 2018 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship
The 2018 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 131st staging of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1887. It is the first tier of senior inter-county championship hurling. The championship began on 12 May 2018 and ended on 19 August 2018. The draw for the championship round-robin fixtures was held off camera on 19 October 2017 and announced on the championship draw broadcast on RTÉ2. The Championship was won by Limerick, who were crowned champions after overcoming Galway in the final by a score line of 3–16 to 2-18.
