Georgios Simos
Giorgos Simos ( el, Γιώργος Σίμος; born 29 March 1978) is a Greek professional football manager and former player, who is the current manager of Super League 2 club Ionikos. Playing career Born in Ioannina, Simos came through the ranks at Panathinaikos, before being promoted to the senior team in 1999. He later played for Agios Nikolaos, OFI, Chalkidona, AEL, AEK Larnaca, Ionikos, Panetolikos, Ethnikos Piraeus, Kallithea and Rouf. Managerial career Simos holds a holds the UEFA Pro Licence. Early career In August 2012, Simos returned to Panathinaikos to begin his coaching career, quickly rising through the academy to lead the Under-15, Under-17, and Under-20 teams in successive seasons from 2013/14 through 2015/16. UEFA Pro Licence
UEFA, the governing body for football in Europe, mandates several coaching licences for professional managers, each valid for coaching at a certain level. These include the UEFA Pro Licence, the UEFA A Licence, and the UEFA B Licence. They are issued by each UEFA member state's football federation and are valid for three years. 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship
The 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship (also known as UEFA Under-21 Euro 2023) will be the 24th edition of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship (27th edition if the Under-23 era is also included), the biennial international youth football championship organised by UEFA for the men's under-21 national teams of Europe. A total of 16 teams will play in the final tournament, and only players born on or after 1 January 2000 are eligible to participate. The tournament will be co-hosted by Romania and Georgia. Romania will host the opening match, while Georgia will host the final. Romania already hosted the 1998 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
