Georgia Prestwidge
Georgia Kate Prestwidge (born 17 December 1997) is an Australian cricketer who plays as a right-arm medium bowler and right-handed batter for Queensland Fire in the Women's National Cricket League (WNCL) and Melbourne Renegades in the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL). Prestwidge is the daughter of former Queensland Bulls all rounder Scott Prestwidge and the sister of current Melbourne Renegades bowler Jack Prestwidge. She made her debut for the Fire in October 2014, but did not bat or bowl in that match. At the end of the 2015–16 season, she was named the Queensland Fire Youth Player of the Year. On 13 October 2016, Prestwidge was reported for having a suspected illegal bowling action during a WNCL match against Tasmania at Allan Border Field. 2018–19 Women's Big Bash League Season
The 2018–19 Women's Big Bash League season or WBBL, 04 was the fourth season of the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL), the semi-professional women's Twenty20 domestic cricket competition in Australia. The tournament ran from 1 December 2018 to 26 January 2019. Double-defending champions, the Sydney Sixers, ended the regular season on top of the ladder, while captain Ellyse Perry broke the scoring record for a sole WBBL campaign and was named Player of the Tournament. In the two semi-finals at Drummoyne Oval on 19 January, the Brisbane Heat eliminated the Sydney Thunder before the Sydney Sixers knocked out the Melbourne Renegades. The Sydney Sixers (WBBL) are an Australian women's Twenty20 cricket team based in Moore Park, New South Wales, Moore Park, New South Wales. The 2016–17 Women's Big Bash League season or WBBL, 02 was the second season of the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL), the semi-professional women's cricket, women's Twenty20 domestic cricket competition in Australia. The tournament ran from 10 December 2016 to 28 January 2017. Allan Border Field
Allan Border Field is a cricket ground in the Brisbane suburb of Albion in Queensland. The Australian Cricket Academy has been based at the oval since 2004 using it as a base for the development of elite cricketers throughout Australia. It was formerly known as ''Neumann Oval'' and was home to the Fortitude Valley Diehards rugby league team from 1909 until 1995. The oval was named for Fred "Firpo" Neumann, Valley's club captain (and later president) and Queensland and Australian representative footballer. Queensland Cricket purchased the ground not long after Valley's relocation and named it in honour of former Australian cricket captain Allan Border. The ground is used as a training facility for the Queensland Bulls and more recently the Australian cricket team. The capacity of the ground is 6,300, which is much smaller than the Gabba.
