Georgia Hulls
Georgia Hulls (born 27 August 1999) is a New Zealand sprinter with multiple national and Oceania titles who has represented her country at the World Athletics Championships. Early life Hulls is from Hawke's Bay where she attended Havelock North High School. She competed for New Zealand in Cali, Colombia at the 2015 World Youth Championships in Athletics and at the 2016 IAAF World U20 Championships held in Bydgoszcz, Poland. Career Hulls moved to live in Auckland to study accounting at Massey University’s Academy of Sport and to train with a cluster of New Zealand's young aspiration athletes based there. In her first year as a senior athlete she won the 2019 New Zealand national championships title over 400 metres before finishing as runner-up to Zoe Hobbs in the 200m the following day. Hawke's Bay
Hawke's Bay ( mi, Te Matau-a-Māui) is a local government region on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island. The region's name derives from Hawke Bay, which was named by Captain James Cook in honour of Admiral Edward Hawke. The region is governed by Hawke's Bay Regional Council. The 200 metres, or 200-meter dash, is a Sprint (running), sprint running event. On an outdoor 400 metre racetrack, the race begins on the curve and ends on the home straight, so a combination of techniques is needed to successfully run the race. Pentathlon
A pentathlon is a contest featuring five events. The name is derived from Greek: combining the words ''pente'' (five) and -''athlon'' (competition) ( gr, πένταθλον). The first pentathlon was documented in Ancient Greece and was part of the Ancient Olympic Games. 2023 World Athletics Championships – Women's 200 Metres
The women's 200 metres at the 2023 World Athletics Championships was held at the National Athletics Centre in Budapest from 23 to 25 August 2022. Summary All the expected finalists qualified. The structure of the semis didn't make it easy. The third semi was loaded with the defending champion, Shericka Jackson, the newly crowned 100 metres champion, Sha'Carri Richardson, and perennial finalist, 2017 silver medalist Marie-Josée Ta Lou. With only two automatic qualifying spots, something had to give. Ta Lou had to get one of the time qualifying spots and was relegated to lane 2 in the final. Rosie Elliott
Rosie Elliott (born 6 November 1997) is a New Zealand sprinter with national and Oceania titles at 400 metres, the national record at 200 metres. She represented NZ at the 2022 and 2023 World Athletics Championships. Career Early career Elliott was a promising junior athlete but stepped away from the sport after moving to Dunedin to study anatomy at the University of Otago. In October 2019 Elliott ran 11.68s for 100m, her first time under 12 seconds and putting her second in the national rankings behind Zoe Hobbs. In 2020 Elliott won silver medals at the New Zealand national championships in both the 100m and 200m races, before several injuries curtailed her 2021 season. 2022 World Athletics Championships
The 2022 World Athletics Championships was the eighteenth edition of the World Athletics Championships. It was held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, United States, from July 15–24, 2022, with the country hosting that competition for the first time. The 2022 Oceania Athletics Championships, the sixteenth edition of the Oceania Athletics Championships, are currently being held in Mackay, North Queensland from June 7–9, 2022. Originally scheduled for 2021 in Port Vila, Vanuatu, on February 16, 2021, Oceania Athletics announced that the event would not be conducted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
