Georgia Adams
Georgia Louise Adams (born 4 October 1993) is an English cricketer who is the captain of Sussex and Southern Vipers, as well as playing for Southern Brave. Adams has previously played for Loughborough Lightning in the Women's Cricket Super League and Oval Invincibles in The Hundred. Adams is an opening batter. Personal life Adams is from Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England. She is the daughter of Chris Adams, a former captain of Sussex men's team, and an England international. Career Domestic career Adams made her debut for Sussex in 2009. In 2014, Adams captained Sussex for the first time, in a Women's County Championship match against Yorkshire. She scored 106 from 111 balls, and it was her first century. In 2015, Adams was captain for multiple Twenty20 Cup matches, as Sussex won the tournament. Chesterfield, Derbyshire
Chesterfield is a market town and unparished area in the Borough of Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England, north of Derby and south of Sheffield at the confluence of the River Rother and River Hipper. 2016 Women's Cricket Super League
The 2016 Women's Cricket Super League, or 2016 Kia Super League for sponsorship reasons, was the first season of the Women's Cricket Super League (WCSL), a semi-professional women's cricket competition in England and Wales. The competition, run by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), consisted of six franchise teams playing in a Twenty20 format. Each team featured three or four players contracted to the England women's cricket team and three overseas international players. Three teams qualified from the league stage of the competition; the Southern Vipers went directly into the final, while the Loughborough Lightning and Western Storm met in a semi-final. The Southern Vipers became the first WCSL champions, defeating Western Storm by seven wickets in the final. Derbyshire Women Cricket Team
The Derbyshire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Derbyshire. They play their home games at various grounds across the county, and are captained by Lauren Tuffrey. In 2019, they competed in Division 3 of the final season of the Women's County Championship, and have since competed in the Women's Twenty20 Cup. They are partnered with the regional side Lightning. The England women's cricket team represents England and Wales in international women's cricket. Since 1998, they have been governed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), having been previously governed by the Women's Cricket Association. The 2015 Women's Twenty20 Cup, known for sponsorship reasons as the 2015 NatWest Women's Twenty20 Cup, was the 7th cricket Women's Twenty20 Cup tournament. In cricket, a century is a score of 100 or more runs in a single innings by a batsman. The term is also included in "century partnership" which occurs when two batsmen add 100 runs to the team total when they are batting together. The Yorkshire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Yorkshire. They play their home games at St George's Road, Harrogate, and are captained by Hollie Armitage.
