George Glendon
George Glendon (born 3 May 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays for Chester as a midfielder. Early and personal life He is the son of former professional footballer Kevin Glendon. Club career Manchester City He began his career at Manchester City, where he was captain of their Elite Development Squad. Fleetwood Town He signed on loan for Fleetwood Town in August 2016, with the deal becoming permanent in January 2017. Glendon was released by Fleetwood at the end of the 2017–18 season. Carlisle United Glendon joined Carlisle United in July 2018 after signing a one-year contract. He scored his first professional goal in a 3-2 EFL Trophy win over Morecambe on 4 September 2018. He was released by Carlisle at the end of the 2018–19 season. Chester In August 2019 he joined Chester on a short-term deal. 2020–21 National League
The 2020–21 National League season, known as the Vanarama National League for sponsorship reasons, is the sixth season under English football's new title of the National League, the eighteenth season consisting of three divisions, and the forty-second season overall. The season follows the curtailed 2019–20 season, in which the league phase was uncompleted due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the play-offs only completed by 2 August 2020. FA Trophy
The Football Association Challenge Trophy, commonly known as the FA Trophy, is a men's football knockout cup competition run by and named after the English Football Association and competed for primarily by semi-professional teams. The competition was instigated in 1969 to cater to those non-league clubs that paid their players and were therefore not eligible to enter the FA Amateur Cup. Eligibility rules have changed over time, but from 2008 onwards the competition has been open to clubs playing in Steps 1–4 of the National League System, equivalent to tiers 5–8 of the overall English football league system. 2019–20 National League
The 2019–20 National League season, known as the Vanarama National League for sponsorship reasons, was the fifth season under English football's new title of National League, the sixteenth season consisting of three divisions, and the forty-first season overall. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the National League season was initially suspended on 16 March 2020 until at least 3 April. On 31 March, this suspension was extended indefinitely until further notice. On 22 April, clubs voted to end the season, with promotions and relegations still "under careful consideration".
