Georg Oddner
Georg Oddner (17 October 1923 – 7 October 2007) was one of Sweden's greatest photographers from the 20th century. Oddner was a jazz musician and studying advertising in the 1940s when he first came into contact with photography through John Melin, art director at Svenska Telegrambyrån in Malmö, the largest advertising agency in Scandinavia. From there, Oddner began working a variety of advertising jobs, including industry, architecture, and clothing, as well as for SAS. In the mid-1950s Oddner traveled to California, South America, the Soviet Union, and the far east. During these travels he was able to pursue photography for his own purposes. Tio Fotografer
Tio fotografer (English: 'Ten photographers') was a Swedish photography collective founded on 10 October 1958 in Stockholm. History Pictorialism as practiced in photography club competitions and exhibitions promoted a romantic national pride during the Second World War in neutral Sweden. Post-war, the country's young photographers reacted against the painterly pretensions of such practitioners whom they derisively nicknamed 'Rosenlunderiet' after an old peoples' home in Stockholm. In 1949 some of the young photographers, dubbed "De Unga" (The Young), who were to form Tio fotografer participated in an exhibition organised by editor of FOTO magazine Lars Wickman. It was an open provocation of the conservative photographic establishment. Victor Hasselblad AB is a Swedish manufacturer of medium format cameras, photographic equipment and image scanners based in Gothenburg, Sweden. The company originally became known for its classic analog medium-format cameras that used a waist-level viewfinder. Inge Pål-Nils Nilsson (July 7, 1929 – May 25, 2002), was a Swedish photographer and filmmaker active from the 1950s to the 1990s. Early life Pål-Nils Nilsson was the son of sculptor Robert Nilsson (1894–1984) and celebrated textile artist Barbro Nilsson (1899–1983). After their marriage in 1928 the couple went abroad on a three-year artist scholarship, living mainly in Rome, where their son Pål-Nils Nilsson was born in 1929. Hans Arvid Hammarskiöld (17 May 1925 – 12 November 2012) was a Swedish professional photographer. He was active in most genres—for many years he worked as an industrial photographer, but was especially noted for his portraits. Career Hammarskiöld was born in 1925 in Stockholm. His breakthrough as a professional photographer came in the 1950s when he worked all over the world. In 1955 his work, along with that of his wife Caroline Hebbe, was selected by Edward Steichen for the world-touring Museum of Modern Art exhibition and book The Family of Man, seen by 9 million visitors. Hans Henry Malmberg (20 September 1927 in Solna – 1 September 1977 in Vällingby) was a Swedish photojournalist. He was a member of the photographic collective Tio fotografer (Ten photographers). Early life and education Malmberg was born on 20 Sept 1927 in Solna, the son of Zewi Eleonora (née Andersson) and foreman Linus Eugen Malmberg. He studied photography at the apprenticeship and vocational school in Stockholm 1941–43, then was assistant at Pressfoto Per Meyerhöffer 1943–46 until he joined Sven Gillsäter at the Pressfoto-bildnytt picture agency 1947–48.
