Georg-Brauchle-Ring is an U-Bahn station in Munich on the U1. It is located below the Georg-Brauchle-Ring, part of Munich's Mittlerer Ring ring road system. It opened on 18 October 2003. Moosach (District Of Munich)
Moosach is the 10th northwestern district of Munich, Bavaria, Germany. It is sectioned in the urban districts Hartmannshofen, Pressestadt and Borstei. It is surrounded by: Feldmoching-Hasenbergl (north), Milbertshofen-Am Hart (east), Neuhausen-Nymphenburg (south), Pasing-Obermenzing (southwest) and Allach-Untermenzing (west). It has a history of 4000 years of human settlement. History and structure An almost uninterrupted chain of prehistoric finds suggests a continuous settlement from 4000 years up to the younger Stone Age. Moosach is thus one of the oldest places around and in Munich. The first documentary mention dates from 4 June 807, and the first church St. Martin was built before 1315. Island Platform
An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are popular on twin-track routes due to pragmatic and cost reasons. They are also useful within larger stations where local and express services for the same direction of travel can be provided from opposite sides of the same platform thereby simplifying transfers between the two tracks. The Munich U-Bahn (german: U-Bahn München) is an electric rail rapid transit network in Munich, Germany. The system began operation in 1971, and is operated by the municipally owned Münchner Verkehrsgesellschaft (MVG; Munich Transport Company). Bundesstraße 2 R
The Bundesstraße 2R is a German federal highway (''German:'' Bundesstraße) in Bavaria. It runs as a ring road within the city of Munich in Bavaria, is long, and is the most traffic-prone road in Germany. It is called the "Middle Ring" (''German:'' Mittlerer Ring) because of its concentric position between the Altstadtring and the incomplete Outer Ring, as well as being within the Autobahnring. Traffic importance The Middle Ring is the backbone of all traffic in Munich, since the ring is the fastest connection to all major traffic axes in the city. Franz Ackermann (born 1963 in Neumarkt-Sankt Veit, Bavaria) is a German painter and installation artist based in Berlin. He makes cartoonish abstraction. Life He attended the Akademie der Bildenden Kunste in Munich from 1984 to 1988 and the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg from 1989 to 1991. He has shown work internationally in many exhibitions including the 2003 Venice Biennale, "Drawing Now: 8 Propositions" at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, "Hybrids" at Tate Liverpool, "Global Navigation System" at Pace le aloghy de Tokyo in Paris and "Seasons in the Sun" at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
