''Gela Mou'' (Greek: ''Γέλα Μου''; English: ''Smile for me'') is the first studio album by Greek singer Despina Vandi. It was released in Greece in 1994 by Minos EMI. Despina Vandi
Despina Vandi - ΣΤΑ 'ΔΩΣΑ ΟΛΑΑ ( el, Δέσποινα Βανδή, ), born as Despina Malea () on 22 July 1969, is a Greek singer. Born in Tübingen near Stuttgart, Germany, Vandi's family returned to Kavala, Greece when she was six years old. After moving to Athens in the early 1990s, Vandi signed with Minos EMI and released two albums ''Gela Mou'' (1994) and ''Esena Perimeno'' (1996). She then began an exclusive collaboration with songwriter/music producer, producer Phoebus (songwriter), Phoebus and struck commercial success with her third album, ''Deka Endoles'' (1997), followed by the multi-platinum ''Profities'' (1999), as she established a more "pop" stage performance style and image, becoming one of the most prominent artists of the laïko/pop genre. Her single "Ipofero" (2000) became the best-selling single of all-time in Greece. Minos EMI is a record company based in Athens, Greece. The company serves as the Greek record label and offices of the multinational Universal Music Group. EMI is credited for founding the record business in Greece in the 1930s, by producing the first records and building the country's first recording studio. Giannis Parios
Yiannis Parios ( el, Γιάννης Πάριος) is a Greek singer, with a career spanning five decades. Biography Yiannis Parios was born Ioannis Varthakouris (Ιωάννης Βαρθακούρης) on the island of Paros. He made his first appearance as a singer in 1969. Yannis Parios was the first Greek singer to perform Alain Barriere's song "Tu t'en vas" with Greek lyrics. Under its new title "Tora pia", the song was a hit, on an unprecedented scale for the time, and it marked the beginning of a new age in which many Greek singers adapted "foreign" melodies to Greek lyrics. Vasilis Karras
Vasilis Karras ( el, Βασίλης Καρράς; born Vasilis Kesoglidis on 12 November 1953) is a Greek folk singer. Biography Karras was born in Kokkinohori, near Kavala, Greece. At the age of 10, his family moved to Thessaloniki. Also around this time his brother Damian and his sister Anastasia were born. Growing up in the streets of Thessaloniki allowed Karras considerable independence and many of the friendships he created there have lasted well into his life until now. In the summer of 1969, Karras made a brief appearance at the club "Prosfygas" in Evosmos, Thessaloniki and made an immediate impact. The compact disc (CD) is a Digital media, digital optical disc data storage format that was co-developed by Philips and Sony to store and play digital audio recordings.
