Gejza Šimanský
Gejza Šimanský (born 29 August 1924 in Sečovce, died 19 June 2007) was a former Slovak footballer who played for ŠK Slovan Bratislava and FC Tatran Prešov during the 1940s and 1950s. Club career Šimanský made 212 appearances and scored 85 goals in the Czechoslovakian I. liga over 18 seasons. Sečovce
Sečovce (; ; ) is a town in the Trebišov District in the Košice Region of south-eastern Slovakia. History The town was first mentioned in year 1255 on the list of king Béla IV of Hungary, Béla IV of Hungary. In 1494, a Roman Catholic church was built in the Gothic architecture style. Since the 15th century, there was gradual development of trade, including Market (place), markets with shoemakers, saddlers, pottery, potters and furriers. The Czech First League () also known as the Chance Liga for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in the Czech Republic and the highest level of the Czech Republic football league system. Seasons typically run from August to May, most games are played on Saturdays and Sundays with few games played on Fridays. All Chance Liga clubs qualify for the Czech Cup. The history of the Czech football league began with its reorganization for the 1993–94 season following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia and therefore the league became the successor of the Czechoslovak League.
