Gaëlle Hermet
Gaëlle Hermet (born 12 June, 1996) is a French rugby union player who plays as a winger for the France women's national rugby union team and Stade Toulousain. Hermet first captained France at the age of 21. Career Hermet won her first cap for France in 2016 and was named captain of the national team in November 2017. She led the team to their Grand Slam (rugby union), grand-slam winning Women's Six Nations Championship campaign in 2018 and that year she was nominated for the World Rugby’s Women’s Player of the Year award. In 2022, She was named as captain of France's team for the delayed 2021 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. Personal life Hermet studied psychology at the University of Toulouse-Jean Jaurès before going on to study occupational health. She works at a nursing home in Cadours alongside her rugby and during the COVID-19 pandemic was working full time in the care sector. The France women's national rugby union team represents France in women's international rugby union. They played their first international in 1982 against the Netherlands. Stade Toulousain () ( oc, Estadi Tolosenc), also referred to as Toulouse, is a professional rugby union club based in Toulouse, France. Women's Six Nations Championship
The Women's Six Nations Championship, known as the TikTok Women's Six Nations for sponsorship purposes, is an international rugby union competition contested between six European women's national teams. It started in the 1995–96 season as the Home Nations, with four teams: England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. In the 1998–99 season it became the Five Nations, with France joining the original four. The following season, Spain replaced Ireland for two seasons. The 2021 Rugby World Cup was the ninth staging of the women's Rugby World Cup, as organised by World Rugby. It was held from 8 October to 12 November 2022 in Auckland and Whangārei, New Zealand. It was originally scheduled to be held in 2021, but was postponed by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
