Stade (), officially the Hanseatic City of Stade (german: Hansestadt Stade, nds, Hansestadt Stood) is a city in Lower Saxony in northern Germany. World Archery Championships
The World Archery Championships are a series of competitions in Archery organised by the World Archery Federation (WA). The first competition held under that title took place in 1931. Competition archery takes a wide variety of formats, but the title World Championships is commonly reserved for the following three events: # Outdoor World Championships in target Archery # Indoor World Championships in target Archery # World Championships in field Archery. Of these, the Outdoor World Championships in target Archery is most commonly referred to as simply the 'World Archery Championships', and the winners most commonly referred to as simply "world champions". 2013 World Archery Championships
The 2013 World Archery Championships was the 47th edition of the event. It was held in Belek, Turkey from 29 September to 6 October 2013 and was organised by World Archery Federation (FITA). It will be immediately preceded by the 50th World Archery Federation congress in the same location. The men's team archery competition at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held from 27–28 July at Lord's Cricket Ground. Italy won the gold medal with Michele Frangilli, Marco Galiazzo and Mauro Nespoli. The United States won silver and South Korea won bronze. Competition format The teams were ranked 1st to 12th based on the three team members' ranking round results and this was used to seed them into a head-to-head knockout bracket. Each member of the team shot eight arrows in a match (for a total of 24 arrows per team) and the team with the highest total won the match. The winner advanced to the next round while the loser was eliminated from the competition.
