Mir Ghazanfar Ali Khan (Urdu: میر غضنفر علی خان, born 31 December 1945) is a Pakistani politician who served as the 6th Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan. He was appointed as a governor of Gilgit-Baltistan after governor Barjees Tahir. On 14 September 2018, he resigned from his post. Family Background Mir Ghazanfar belongs to the ruling family of Hunza. He is the son of the Last Mir of Hunza, Muhammad Jamal Khan. Mir Mohammad Jamal Khan was the son of Mir Ghazan II. Mohammad Jamal Khan was named Mir on 25 September 1974. When he died in 1976, his son Ghazanfar Ali Khan II became the non-sovereign head of the state in 1976. The State of Hunza was dissolved by Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Prime Minister of Pakistan on 25 Sep 1974. Thus, the title of Mir is only titular. Mohammad Ghazanfar (born 28 December 1994) is a Hong Kong cricketer. In April 2019, he was named in Hong Kong's squad for the 2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament in Namibia. Husn Banu Ghazanfar ( prs, حسن بانو غضنفر), (born February 1, 1957) is a politician in Afghanistan, formerly served as the Minister of Women's Affairs. She is also a writer, a poet, and a speaker. Early life and education Ghazanfar, daughter of Abdul Ghafar, was born in Balkh Province on February 1, 1957. She graduated from Sultan Razia High School in Mazar-e-Sharif and obtained her BA and master's degree on Literature and Sociology from Stavropol. Ghazanfar Mohammad Asl Roknabadi (21 March 1966 – 24 September 2015) was an Iranian diplomat, who served as the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon from 2010 to 2014.
