Gayl Jones
Gayl Jones (born November 23, 1949) is an American writer from Lexington, Kentucky. She is recognized as a key figure in 20th-century African-American literature. Imani Perry posits Jones as "one of the most versatile and transformative writers of the 20th century" while Calvin Baker describes her as "The Best American Novelist Whose Name You May Not Know." In ''The Guardian'' newspaper, Yara Rodrigues Fowler stated: "Gayl Jones is a literary legend. In novels and poetry, she has reimagined the lives of Black women across North, South and Central America, living in different centuries, in a way no other writer has done." Gayl King
Gayl King (born 29 December 1963) is a Canadian former professional darts player. She was the first woman to be invited by the darts organization Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) to complete in the PDC World Darts Championship in the 2001 PDC World Darts Championship, 2001 tournament and was the winner of several regional and national darts competitions in Canada. Personal background King was born and raised in a small community in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador and has fourteen siblings. She has two grown-up sons, and worked as a Bookkeeping, bookkeeper for a restaurant chain in Edmonton, Alberta prior to her debut in the PDC World Darts Championship. Wilhelm Moritz Egon Freiherr von Gayl (4 February 1879 – 7 November 1945) was a German jurist and politician of the German National People's Party (DNVP). Biography Gayl was born in Königsberg, capital of the Prussian province of East Prussia (today Kaliningrad, Russia) and studied law at the universities of Berlin, Göttingen and Bonn. In 1909 he became the director of the ''Ostpreussische Landgesellschaft'', a settlement society for East Prussia . He served throughout the First World War, initially as an officer on active service, and was decorated with the Iron Cross first class, but soon joined the administration of Ober Ost as Supreme Commander of All German Forces in the East.
